Our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) groups are perfect for kids and teens who need a safe space to grow! Our classes use the five CASEL competencies (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making) to create a comprehensive curriculum that is also adaptable to the needs of individuals. SEL groups help to increase confidence, understand and manage emotions, build healthy relationships, communicate with others and create a framework to set and achieve goals.
Our 50 minute group sessions are designed to be a fun and engaging experience where your child can acquire and apply new skills in a safe place. Participants will work with others in a variety of group activities and games, engage in discussion, and have opportunities for self-reflection. Our calming group space is child and teen friendly- a comfortable, welcoming and happy place to be. Groups are designed and led by Coach Mariah, who is a certified K/8 teacher.
Social-Emotional Learning Groups follow a school-year format, meeting 28 times between September and April. Please call for more information on dates and times.
All clients NEW to group must attend a 60 minute in office screening appointment to determine if our social skills group is right for your child. If the fit is not good for group, you will receive appropriate recommendations and intervention ideas for your child.
